Description
SMART Steam Trap Insulation Jacket model I-SVT 15/20 and I-SVT 25 are designed to go with the SMART Steam Trap model SVT 15/20 and SVT 25. Jackets are custom-designed to snug around the SMART Steam Trap. The flexible outer material and Velcro system make them easy to install and remove in seconds, without the need for any tools during the steam trap PM maintenance or inspection. They are high-temperature resistant, durable in all weather conditions, and fireproof. Each jacket is sewed with high-quality aramid steel wire threads in the form of a jacket consisting of 3 layers with an inner cloth, an insulation material, and an outer protective shield.
Technical
Layer 1 is the innermost layer and is most exposed to direct surface heat. It is free of asbestos and made with ceramic fiberglass fabric. The purpose of this layer is to provide thermal insulation. The maximum operating temperature of the material is 1100 C.
Layer 2 is the middle layer in the insulation jacket and is used to minimize the heat. This layer is 15 mm thick, free of asbestos, and built from aluminum silicate material. The maximum operating temperature of the material is 1250 C.
Layer 3 is the outermost layer. It is water and oil proof and resistant to acid, alkali, and fire. It protects the inner two layers from the environmental hazards of the manufacturing plant and provides thermal insulation. It is made up of flexible and asbestos-free silicone coated fiberglass cloth. The maximum operating temperature of the material is 260 C.
Installation
SMART Steam Trap Insulation Jacket is held in place by simple Velcro fastening systems. It can be installed and removed in a matter of seconds without the need for any tools. For the sites where hard shell insulation is used for steam trap insulation, using SMART Steam Trap Insulation Jacket can reduce the installation time by almost 70%
